Missy

Mood music: Yuri on Ice by Taro Umebayashi

It’s okay, it’s okay,
Dearest mine,
So what if it dies out,
So what if it changes,
So what if it’s the rage of angels,
So what if the tide rages?
A sweet memory, beneath the sunshine;
She lies down with the starlight,
Mildew of midnight, and the
Mist will clear out, alright!

The girl from the dark,
Rose from the past,
So it’s fine.
There will be
Another time.
Be strong sweetheart,
You’re neither a coward
Nor a shadow that never lasts.

Poet’s note: Have you ever had a moment or moments in your life, that changes you as a person? They are like the clouds, ever so persistent, ever evolving, and constantly moving. I hope you guys still know that you’re loved, somewhere by someone and that there is always hope, even when the situation is dire.

Good night! ♡

Repetition

Waltzing in the shadows,
We twirl to this
Momentary symphony.

One foot in the past,
Another stuck in the future;
A cascade of lies
Maligned by the excessive truth.

So clear, yet so far,
Times change,
But the heart remains
In tattered parts – so
She goes back to
Stand by the the Aster,
Hoping one day
She will find her.
But for now,
As unfair as life maybe,
Because the nightshades
State it so bluntly,
It’s time to let it go.

Between the cracks

There are demons,
Before your very eyes,
Passing by,
A spark of anger
Whenever they rise,
Blinding the brilliant light,
Busting through the hearth of a child,
What do you do?

Mutiny,
Malice in your heart
Ruptures the black –
Paint it red
And paint it wide;
There is a shadow
That flows with time,
Break the bonds
And scream.

Mage of the dark,
Do you remember her dreams,
Her fears and call,
Fall beneath the whirlwind
Clad in black,
Glad to be back
Riding between the cracks,
Failing to fathom the laws –
The lands fall,
Destiny seems far.

Author’s Note: This poem is pretty dark since it is influenced by the recent happenings in my hometown. It was very painful for me, because a kid was sexually abused by grown men, who worked in close proximity to the child. Some parts of it resonated with my own experience. She’s doing better, and thankfully her parents listened to her. The scars may remain, but I hope she lives on to have a wonderful life. I’m including the picture with this poem, because the Japanese house exudes tranquility and peace.

If you guys have ever experienced any sort of abuse, please hang in there. There will be dark days, even a spiralling cycle. But you’re very brave, and are worth everything good that the world has to offer. I’m also open to talk, if you guys want to talk about your experience with me. You’re amazing, and I truly mean it.

Within

Freestyle: Within

Gasping,
Every second with the ever present
Choices and confusion.

Pundits of perfection,
Fumbling under flailing pretense;
Gasping –
Without any direction,
Surrender,
To the shackles and be free.

But.

The haste within
Sometimes diminishes;
Yet, a single instance,
When the soul wanders past
The chains of the past.
The unknown awaits
Gasping,
Every second with the ever present
Choices and confusion,
Rising and falling,
Persevere from within.

The song of winter

A symphony of
Joy and sorrow;
A blend
With a hope for ‘morrow,
The harshest winds
And the pandering pain
Pulverized, the moment
You gaze into the
The fog
That subdues the planes.
For a little while,
The tainted,
With the innocence of the snow
Shall rise – to live on another day.

Soulmate

This poem was inspired by the song
なんでもないや by Radwimps from the movie Your name (君の名は).

Tears dripping from your eyes,
Yearning for each lasting moment
To grow
A little longer,
I wish we were wound together;
Hearts, ever so closer-
A little piece of soul
Lost. We wander.
I’ve been searching for you
Forever.
We stand here,
In opposite directions,
Tell me its true,
This hazy recognition
From the begining of time.
Will we last with this fleeting second?
Forever, with a simple gaze –
My soulmate

Moira

Blended the opposites,
And sanity was tamed,
Living among the
Pandering sycophants;
Love and life remains
The charade of the lands.
We stay here –
Mastering faces
Over the shadows of the sun,
We flow with the wind, far away. 。

Iridescent light and impossibly dark,
Rise to form the fate as we know
Amidst the order, a chaotic game
Time and time again, yet
Moira – the fate remains untamed. 。

Towards Light

All things unsung
Await your return;
Run –
Past the petrification;
Into the Fog
Towards light,
And the dawn will rise,
Like a Phoenix, reborn.

Myriad

Sparkling lights
Spirited away tonight,
Wandering the streets,
With chaos that never ceases –
An unexpected tranquility,
On the day of Christmas Eve,
A myriad of dreams
Wound in one breathless destiny.
